OPENING: Pecado Bueno has Soft Opening in Eastlake

 Pecado Bueno's third location on Eastlake Ave. E. in Eastlake just opened their doors for their soft opening. They still have a few things to finish work on, but the restaurant looks about 95% complete.

 

 When you enter the restaurant, you walk to the back counter and place your order. They give you a number and you take a seat at one of their tables or you can grab a stool at their bar. I order their three soft tacos dinner. It comes with three tacos of your choice on corn or flour tortillas, and a side of beans and rice. I went with the grilled chicken, pork carnitas and roasted butternut squash tacos. All three were delicious and the ingredients were very flavorful! I had never tried a butternut squash taco before. It was very tasty. I'll definitely order more of those!

 

Pecado Bueno is home of the $#, 100% Agave Tequila Margarita. Very tasty!

 The owners of Pecado Bueno have done a great job transforming the old Quick Stop convenience store into a new cantina. I'm looking forward to sitting out in the bar exterior. Hopefully they will have it open soon as long as the weather permits. Since they opened on Wednesday, I have noticed a steady stream of people checking out the new location. I have a feeling I will be frequenting this place quite a bit. Welcome to Eastlake Pecado Bueno!    

OPENING: Peddler Brewing Company

Peddler Brewing Company is opening in Ballard on March 8th! As you can tell by the name and the logo, the owners of this brewery are really into bikes. The brewery will feature 8 taps with a few rotating seasonal taps. They also plan to have a guest tap or two of other WA state brews or ciders. If you ride your bike to the brewery, they will have an indoor bike rack that holds 9 bicycles. They will also have a bike tune-up station to make any repairs to your bike.

OPENING: Saint John's Bar and Eatery

Saint John's Bar and Eatery is now open on Capitol Hill in the space formerly occupied by Rosebud. Saint John's is brought to you by co-owners Val Kiossovski (of the band Kultur Shock) and Billy Gould (of the band Faith No More). Both are also co-owners of Solo on Queen Anne. The new bar and eatery opens for happy hour on Monday, February 20th from 2pm to 6pm. Joe Randazzo will be moving from Solo to take charge of the kitchen at Saint John's. Joe mentions he will offer brunch in mid-Spring. St. John's will offer more substantial food than Solo, and the menu will change seasonally.

OPENING: 8oz. Burger Bar

Just when you thought Seattle had enough burger joints, 8oz. Burger Bar is opening on Capitol Hill. Their grand opening will be Monday, January 16th. There will be a "soft" opening starting Thursday, January 12th. This new burger place is located in the old Tidbit Bistro space on the corner of Broadway and Union. OPENING: The Local Vine Opens 2nd Location Today at University Village

The Local Vine Wine Bar opens its second location today at University Village! The Local Vine's first location (originally in Belltown) is located on Capitol Hill at 12th & Madison. They offer over 100 wines by the glass, as well as, a selection of small plates for sharing. They have been voted Seattle's Best Wine Bar two years in-a-row. The Local Vine offers a comfortable place to enjoy wine, food and friends.

OPENING: Altura Restaurant opens on Capitol Hill

Eater Seattle reports the opening of Altura on Capitol Hill. Chef Nathan Lockwood, formerly of The Ruins Private Dining Club, and his wife Rebecca Lockwood have started service at their new Italian restaurant located on North Broadway. OPENING: Dick's in Edmonds to open before Thanksgiving

Dick's newest location in Edmonds will open before Thanksgiving. The fast food restaurant chain would like its fans to be a part of the grand opening! Dick's will be hiding 12 orange tickets throughout the city of Edmonds. Between Sept. 28 and Oct. 14, 2011, clues as to where and when you can find an Orange Ticket will be posted on the Dick's Drive-In Facebook page and on Twitter.
