Today I tried Portland, Oregon's Breakside Brewery's Salted Caramel Stout. This Stout was made in collaboration with Salt and Straw in Portland. This is a mighty good Stout! It has a subtle caramel taste with a hint of chocolate and coffee. It has a great aroma with a dark color and good head. The taste is nice and smooth, and it's not sweet as expected. This Stout was voted one of the Top 25 Beers of 2014 by Draft Magazine. I purchased this beer at Mammoth in Eastlake. I'll definitely be buying some more of this!

TV SHOWS: Top Chef Seattle?
![]() |

There are rumors circulating that Bravo TV's popular chef competition show, Top Chef, is now looking at either Portland, Oregon or Seattle, Washington for the location of their next season. Their last season was in Texas. I would love it if Seattle was chosen, but it would be pretty cool if Portland was chosen too. If the rumors are true it looks like a Northwest Top Chef!

FOOD EVENT: Mobile Chowdown - Round III

Most sequels are never as good as the original. Well I also think this sequel will not be as good as the original, it will be even better! Actually, it's a three-quel. Mobile Chowdown is back for its third installment! Not only will this Chowdown be at a new location and have even more vendors, but it will also include street food vendors from Portland! Portland is well-known for its street food, so I can't wait to sample some of their food. This round will include a showdown between the Seattle vs. Portland vendors.
The new location is in SODO district right next to Safeco Field. Parking is FREE at the Safeco Field garage on Edgar Martinez Drive. 103.7 The Mountain will be there from 11pm to 1pm, playing tunes and giving away swag. DJ Joy will perform afterwards.
Date: Saturday, March 13, 2010
Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm
Location: Occidental Ave. S., Between Edgar Martinez Dr. & Massachusetts St.
The Seattle Vendors include:

This round of the Mobile Chowdown is sponsored by Seattle Magazine and Suzuki + Chou Communimedia. This will be the biggest chowdown to date!
