FOOD NEWS: James Beard Award Semifinalists

Last month the James Beard Foundation announced the 2015 Restaurant and Chef Award Semifinalists. As always, Washington state has a good representation of outstanding chefs and restaurants. Here is a list of the Washington state Semifinalists. The finalists will be announced on March 24th, 2015, at the James Beard House in New York City.

FOOD NEWS: Text My Food


A few weeks ago NPR had a story about a bar in Cambridge, Massachusetts that allows customers to communicate to their server via text messaging. Charlie's Kitchen is one of the first restaurants in the country to offer this service. You can read the NPR story here: Chk Plz: Restaurants Try Texting To Speed Service.
